I have been chugging up and down the East Coast raiding Brit ports and yet to come across a single mine or minefield.

Kipparikalle, you were on the northern end of the barrage. The mines are spread thinner there.

Give it time. You roll the dice long enough and you'll come up snake-eyes every time.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that these mines are set at different depths so diving deep will only work just so much. Since the barrages are meant to stop a submerged u-boat, you can try to sail on the surface to avoid most of the mines but that's not a foolproof solution because you will encounter mines that are set shallow.

There is a clear lane to allow convoys and other shipping traffic to move freely up and down the coast.

Just because you haven't hit one yet doesn't mean the mines aren't there. :p

This is war, after all, with a hundred ways to die before you've even had your morning coffee ration.

Coastal mucking about is definetely not my style. Haven't seen mines, don't wanna see mines. I let the kaboomers write their tales from Valhalla.
