Radio Room EZboard archive suddenly resurrected!

Ok, someone noticed Google has a link to their old search engine in honor of their 10 year anniversary and they googled Subsim...they found the Subsim Radio Room ver. 2, the EZboard forum. He notified me, have a look:

http://web.archive.org/web/200102081...ard.com/bboats

Anyone have any ideas on capturing the data from that db? That would be worth something from me.

I didn't see any swinging sausages

Neal

Take a look at HTTrack Website copier. I've used it before to make a local copy of websites to use when I didn't have internet access. It takes some time to pull everything and store and index it, but I know it works.

Now that was a good trial, even if your client did a disappearing act on you

Even back then after the 2k bug hocuspocus nonsense everybody had bought or upgraded to the latest system back then... Thats why the PC market died for awhile....
Till they realized it wasn't the end of the world.. It was the biggest gimmik ever and it worked. I remember in sales working for a distributer back then the market was almost dead for PCs.

But by then, many game companies where switching over to consoles or where on the road to doing so...

Still in many ways your right even today, how many people really need uber computers? Who will spend $6k on a gaming system? That never has changed. PC gamers are the underdogs of the gaming world.

Then and now console platforms are the cash cow for gaming enterainment.
