A nice quote I just heard about:
The only replacement for a DC-3 is another DC-3.  To think that the plane is still used at some places as cargo planes....

There was a regional carrier some years back called Cape Cod Airways. They flew some DC-3's and I did a few flights on them. What a hoot.
Felt like you were really flying.
