Hey Rascal, have you tried a "restore" to a time prior to the the install of your new SH3 disc? Restore points go back around 3 months and sometimes they resolve problems.

I had a problem quite awhile ago while playing grey wolves (pre-GWX). I finally had to reformat my hard drive. This takes a lot of work to get the computer back to the way you like it, but at least the computer is like you just took it out of the box. Be sure to back up all important file before you reformat the C drive.
