Welcome aboard, Joe!

I fear you may need to reinstall from scratch. But wait until someone more knowledgeable responds.

What do you mean by GWX 2.1 modded?
Have you added mods to 2.1 or your just at GWX 2.1?
What system specs?
Did you COMPLETELY uninstall or do a Squeeky clean 2.0 to 2.1?

You deleted the folder in My Documents Right?
Looks like a saved career conflict.
:hmm:
2.1 does not support other version careers.
Delete anything in My Documents/SH3

after you did the Uninstall and removed the harddrive files and also removed the SH3 folder did you restart the computer???? sometimes i find that you have to shut down the computer and leave it for a short time then turn it back on to empty the ram and vertual memory..then reinstall. my old version of Vista used to try and recover the files for SH3 and rewrite them from a system save

Uninstall the game using your SH3 disk (the uninstall option).

Delete the SH3 folder in C/MyDocs

Purchase or try the trial version of RegVac and let it clean out your registry files:

http://www.regvac.com/regvac.htm

Now go to the GWX website and follow the installation instructions to the letter.

Good Luck
