I think in the SH3 mods forum. There's a thread there with all the mods available.

I'll look for a link.

Go to the SilentHunterIII\data\Library folder & open the GUNS_SUB.sim file with S3D, the first & last wpn_Cannon, the others are AA, then adjust the reload time, note also that the reload time is effected by the crews effeciancy, this make a difference by about 5 seconds, hope this helps.

Just tell me which rate of fire do you want, I'll mod the file for you and upload it.

The realistic rate of fire during WW2 was 4 seconds. That's what I use!

If its 4 seconds you want, here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/116922551/GUNS_SUB.sim.html

If its not, tell me the value and I'll do it for you tomorrow... Now I'm off to bed, work ealy in the morning!

Need 75rpm? Why not put one of these on your deck?

That's another

Four rounds per minute would be a lot closer, and even that is probably too fast.

<sniff sniff>

I smell bullcrap. I suspect U-BoatAces was your realistic source.

Anyway, having been around for the original discussion (I use that term lightly ) this issue has been beaten to death and I don't want get involved again.

@ The OP

Use either Silent 3ditor or Mini-tweaker and edit away. If you only want to change the fire rate, use SH3Commander.
