Good to hear that those flyboys took time out of their busy schedule of drinking and womanizing to lend a fellow kaleun a hand. So far I have come across them once in action, a few Stukas went after a lone small merchant I had reported a few hours earlyer.

Did you get some renown for sunk the battleship ??

I saw the luftwaffe in the med near of malta.

i was waiting in fire position for a two cargo ships and two scorts when a FW-condor appears and dropped some bombs to one cargo ship,

then after some time arrives a group of stukas that sunk the damaged cargo ship and damaged other,
it continues until the last ship of the convoy was sunk, included the two scorts.

i don´t sunk any ship , but was too cool see the action, with the scorts firing at will to the bombers and making evasive maneuvers.

in 1942 -1943 and later , the luftwaffe was too busy in the russian front and defending germany from the american and british bombers, if not, it could be deployed in the atlantic bases and defend the u boats from the ASW patrols

Note that most of the luftwaffe was moved to Eastern front due to the preraration of zergrushing the ruskies.

That explains why you see rarely the flyboys after 41

I got no credit at all. I didn't technically sink it. I really just made it a non moving target for the planes.

The Luftwaffe can suprise sometimes. Once I tried raiding Liverpool, only to be supprised that there were nothing left to sink when I got there! Ships burning in the harbour, sky full of JU-88's.
