Shore Leave sticky ?

Do you think having a sticky thread called "Shore Leave" would be a must have ? the reason I ask is my job and I dare say many others take them away from time to time and many members ask where are they ? anybody seen/heard from ..... ? etc; this I think would also stop your PM from getting cluttered, members would wait till you get back ?........ just a thought ? :hmm:

EXAMPLE:

LEAVE APPLICATION
NAME: Venatore.

SHORE LEAVE DATES:
7-9 Sep 07.
REASON: Deploying on Army exercise.

This is infact going to happen

Ven.

I love the idea Venatore (Brag definitely), but I think you'd have to remove one of the current stickies as there are sooooo many!

Two days what a lucky guy.........Not putting you down, but here in the U.S., a reserve does two weeks a year, besides his regular reserve days. Just kind of sounded like it was too short to get anything done......no offense intended......I salute your service to your country.............

FYI Australian Army Reserve requirements are (generally):
- one night a week;
- one weekend a month;
- two full weeks a year;
- extra time for courses (such as promotion etc).

Essentially Army (it's different for RAAF and RAN) Reservists can work between 14 and 100 days a year, depending on main employer flexibility (I know unemployed reservists that are essentially full time reservists).

I'm not a reserve. I joined the Regular Army in 1988. I'm posted to a reserve unit till December then I'm back to my bread and butter INFANTRY ! and I will be getting my soul back three fold.
