Don't those rescue buoys work better when they're not on land?

Yet one more reason why Germany lost the war! :p

Those washed up around the late 40's early 50's I believe.
Seems they were very poorly designed to withstand the currents of the Channel.
So broke loose as a matter of course.
Those pics are from somewhere in the Netherlands.

I also have pics of some that washed up and were buried in the sands.
After the locals stripped them down to nearly nothing of course.
Seems they were considered a great treasure to stumble upon at the time.
