Allow me, if you will, to explain my current situation.
Just got SH4, patched to 1.4. Looking for mods that: A. Make the game look better; B. Simplify some of the insane things - I cannot figure out how to nav from PH to Midway for the life of me, even after the sub school; ![]() C. Make the game more immersive. Unfortunately, there's so many mods available I'm actually sort of lost. ![]() Suggestions? |

Hello Penta
U know how to install a mod? If not:here Then you go on this thread: <HERE> I would suggest: Trigger Maru and RSRDC Phase III Plus (found under 'for version1.5' , but compatible with 1.4) Sadly u have to read the descriptions of the mod, that u do not do something wrong ![]() Good Hunt!

I would love to hear how to nav from PH to ANY mission and still have enough fuel to get back, even stopping at Midway along the way.
As for the OP's state, ment on navigating, have you learned you can zoom out the map with the mouse wheel, and drag it around by left clicking and holding, or using the arrow keys. Just use the waypoint key to set the appropriate wayponts and your off! |

Just did, last night before going to bed. Now...How do I complete the mission assigned? (Patrol mission) I nav to the area, so...what do I do?
(Curse SH4 for having a sparse, pathetic manual.) |

Metl: What speed is your boat set at. Anything higher than about 2/3 will have you swimming home or rigging a sail made out of sheets.

Use the manual as a door-stop, this place is your manual. I would advise you check out the stickies section ( many helpful links, like the how to complete a mission one ): http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=108931
Also, many of your future questions may be in older threads, the search option can be your friend here ![]() Good luck ![]() RDP |

Regarding A and C I'd like to suggest you ROW (both graphics and sounds) or Natural environment 4.0 (only graphics and not compatible with graphical parts of ROW).
If you like more immersive sound effects try poul's sound mod http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132995

You also might want to check this thread out: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=122870.
If you are using one of the boats they have you can have the patch on the conning tower to add a little eye candy to your boat and they will add kill flags for the Japanese ships you sink.
