Default Sounds of life of crew on a submarine

Poul-Sound for SH4

This mod is an attempt to do a sound atmosphere and situation on the submarine of more "live".

Attention! For normal work of this mod you must have a good audio card.

This soundpack contains:







Et al ...

CHANGES:

A folder "Speech". Add Voices of crew and sound atmosphere:

-Recharging batteries
-Returning to course
-Standard propulsion
-Rig for silent_running
-Periscope depth
-New message received
-Torpedo impact
-Torpedo missed
-Man the flak and deck guns
-Sounds of Rudder
-Sounds of Engine Order

A folder "Menu":

-Type Writer (When you get orders on a patrol)

Wave files:

Changed and done more atmospheric and realistic the following sound:

-Ocean
-Submarine boat
-The sounds of exhaust and valves are now audible in work of diesel
-Creaks of corps of submarine on a large depth
-Submarine Interior
-Submarine passing thermal layer
-Relieve watch (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Torpedoes (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Depth-bombs (after an explosion is a metallic echo into a submarine)
-Sounds of voices of crew and instruments at failures, when water goes to the boat
-Submarine Surface and diving
-Submarine Crash Dive (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Submarine Dive Alarm (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Submarine Emergency Blow (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Submarine GQ battle stations (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Submarine GQ secure battle stations (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Flak Gun: Shot and breech-block
-Deck gun: Shot, breech-block, command voices on a background flight of shell
-Frequency description of sounds of ships is changed in a hydrophone. Now they differentiate very well
-The sound of fishings boats and torpedo cutters is changed. Now their sound expressly differs from other ships.
-Boltz Break (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Electric sparks at a failure (Voices of crew and sound atmosphere)
-Glass break (sound atmosphere)

Possible problems:

Sometimes not correct work of sound in files "Man the flak and deck gun" (it related to software in SH IV) and braking of sound in files "Creaks Level" when submarine on a large depth (it will be related to weak audio card, I think) If these problems will appear for you, take in a folder "Return for Creaks and Man the deck(flak) gun" files for a return to the initial state. This folder enters in mod.

The size of a mod 210MB

I haven't tried it ingame, but I extracted and went through the sounds last night and was very impressed with the work. The effects for activities that involve crew interaction are rich with sound bites from various movies, yet they're muted enough so that they somehow fit in. I love the cannon and flak gun effects.

The only problem I might see with American skippers is that the sound for crash dive starts with 'Alaaarm', the clip from Das Boot.

It's a great sound mod, especially the speeches of the crew are very impressive. Also sound effects of hull creaks and many others are very nice!

This is brilliant

It really does add a lot of depth to the game. From a personal veiwpoint i feel it works best with the u-boat missions.

Most of these German speech/sound mods will have to be uninstalled for a return to a US career. Just make it/them the last on your JSGME list.

Most of the sound are in english language, however to make this mod "100% american" will suffice to change the crash dive sound with another one (or leave the original). Moreover the engine sound is related to german u-boat MAN diesel engines...not good for 4 Fairbank Morse 38D1/8 or General Motors 278A generators.

It's an awesome Mod, and it takes a fes minutes to make it PERFECT.
Excellent mod Poul!!

Work best on an ultra-real WWII scenario.

I just love this. Makes the game far lively. I really miss such a thing for uboat SH4 1.5 now!!!!
Are you gonna work on it?? i suppose you will get less material to work with but...

This is really a great MOD!!

I am, however, having just a few minor difficulties:

1. Sometimes I have to take one of the non-active officers and place them in an active slot in able to hear the new orders, such as speed, direction, periscope depth, etc.

The only thing I did to the MOD was to replace and/or add a few sound files, didn't touch the speech files.

It just doesn't seem like all the speech files are being activiated when I issue certain orders.

Anyone else have this problem?
