I feel your pain, Im afraid its the same bug as stock, when in shallow waters you somtimes need to destroy the ship outright, SH3 has two mechanisms in place that determine weather a ship is 'sunk' the first is from flooding, when the ship submerges its considered destroyed, but in shallow waters they dont sink properly and thus rely on the second mechanism, which is when the ship loses all of its 'hit points' and explodes.
It will often take 4 or 5 hits to destroy a battleship in this way, unless you strike a magazine or fuel tank. So in your situation it sounds like you are pretty stuck if you cant get any impact torpedos to detonate. |

In my previous career, what happened is that I was able to detonate a magnetic underneath its fuel tank or ammo bunker (not sure which one) and the ship would be considered destroyed. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the magnetic into the same area this time around

I wouldn't call that a "bug"... sounds pretty real to me...
Ok, herr Kaleun, you managed to make her seat on the bottom, but it'll take two cranes, and a couple of good blacksmiths just a couple of weeks to get her up to speed again... however, if you had managed to blow her appart... then that would have done it... Better luck next time!

Hi!
This "bug" actually reflects historical reality; for example

Thanks guys. Just wish I'd be able to find the sweet spot. I've tried shooting underneath the second turret and underneath the first smoke stack but no big explosions.
