I have not seen it in my career patrols, but I just loaded up a single mission to look at swdw's new sub ride height mod, and as I was admiring the outside view in a stormy sea, there it was, real lightning strikes followed by suitably loud thunder claps. I am running TM 1.7.6 with ROW additions and RSRDC Phase III. I thought lightning was still to be fixed, but maybe I missed something, anyway, its there, and I'm happy

I did see it in a storm when I was testing the new pacific enviroments in a campaign!, but just shortly, then it started to rain and the lightning stopped, strange... :hmm: Dave did alot to make it work, but something is blocking it from appearing in the campaign.

That seems very realistic to me.
At least where I live, thunderstorms first display the usual lightning&thunder coming up....then, when the storm is overhead, big raindrops (or hail) slowly start to fall, 1 here, 1 there....then suddenly, the rain starts pouring down, and this is usually an indication, that the actual storm-centre has already passed overhead, and that the rain is just the aftermath.
