DSL Advertised Vrs. Actual Speed

Thats not bad. Most sites throttle you by the way, so it may not be your company. You will also lose a certain percentage to overhead. Not that much overhead though - more like 5%.

Find a local site that does speedtests. The farther away, the worse because that means it needs to take longer hops.

I did a speed test from servers close by. In fact, one was out of KC which is less than 2 hours away.
