![]() They really changed their sound for that CD. I have some of their older stuff and they sound like a German version of Depeche Mode.

I never really liked Rammstein. The guitars and drum parts of the music are fine but I don't like the singing much. And most of the songs (I know) sound very similar to me, which is good for someone who likes this kind of music.
I remember an interview with a part of the band where the keyboarder said something like "We want to make music that is not complicated - easy music that the people can understand". Well I don't want to say music has to be über complicated to be good - not at all. But that statement very much implies that Rammstein thinks their listeners are very shallow minded dulls. swifty, what about some slower "Scorpions"? Even the lyrics fit well ![]() |

Ramstein ,who prior to their big hit album with Du Hast on it sounded like a German Depeche Mode, pretty much copied the sound of another band that was around long before them called Die Krups and maybe a little influence from KMFDM. I thought Ramstein pulled off the sound much better though and their lyric writing is much better than Die Krups and KMFDM.
With the exception of Du Hast which I can't stand. The rest of that CD was so good. Why did the ONE song I couldn't stand become the freakin' breakaway hit !?! ![]()
