I've just finished reading U-Boat Killer by the skipper of the Hesperus Capt. Donald Macintyre who was credited with teh capture of "Silent" Otto Kretchsmer. I'd say looking at his record he was an Ace and used "Johnny" Walkers' creeping attack to great effect on a number of times.

I recommend the book as it has some excellent descriptions of both U-boat and escort tactics during the Battle of the Atlantic.

Nice shots Tarjak. Someone should really make a Coastal Command-themed flight sim game, but thanks to the decline of simulations in general I doubt we'll ever see one.
