I've actually read some stories about torpedoes jumping out the the water and landing on the decks of ships.

I recall one that happened in WWI where the Captain had his sub surfaced.. then left his first officer in charge and went to bed. He was awakened about 20 minutes later by a loud "CLANG !!!" He jumped out of bed and ran up to the bridge where he saw the watch guys standing there as white as ghosts. As he looked in the direction they were looking at, he saw an enemy sub not far away, pointed right at them and a torpedo heading right toward them. Luckily, the enemy sub captain had set the depth too low and this torpedo went right under them.

After they eluded the sub, he came to find out from the watch guys that they didn't see the sub until it was too late and the "Clang" was the sound of a fired torpedo as it jumped out of the water (by catching a wave JUST RIGHT). Apparently it jumped out of the water, banged down on top of the deck, bounced, hit the water on the other side and kept going. I can imagine that the captain of the enemy sub was really cursing a lot when he saw that happen.
