Oh yes, remember that SH2 mod that caused the smoke to mushroom out miles above the ship.

I must have a go at SH2 again one day.
There were quite a few things in SHII that I miss in SHIII. For example, in high seas if you were on the bridge, that REALLY made me seasick. Nothing like the small dizzyness I got from the GWX's physics, but I really had to go below the decks. :p

Might aswell give it a try, right about NOW!

Hi mates,
Below some old pics about GWX 2.0 FX mod.
The smokes and even the effects aren´t so much different from the ones on GWX 1.03. What this mod really makes different are the big oil slicks and big oil trails as we can see below. Also added sound for fires externally and at hydrophone, plus corrected some old bugs on the partcles.dat since the stock Sh3.

The smoke quality and tgas are also the same from GWX 1.03. But they are now much more alive and frequent, also with big secondary explosions. In a new update for this mod we will also make the depth charges explosions a lot better.

So, this have not much to be compared with RB´s work. His mod have a lot of more goodies and spetacular effects, but , IMHO, it needs to be more compatible, because a lot of adjusts on some files from GWX aren´t yet on his files. Anyhow I´m sure that his mod will be absolutelly and totally compatible with GWX 2.0 soon, then it will be a very good option for the players!

These below pics are from the development phase and don´t make justice to all the "news" on the mod, but just to you have an idea:
