GWX is a very good "SuperMod" but it is not the "Holy_Super_Mod" in this Forum.
And I think, WAC, NYGM, RealUboat, LivingSH3 and all other unnamed BigMods ( most of this Mods are making from the Modders alone, without a big team, many alphatesters and betatesters and so on) arent also very good supermods and have the same Rights in this Forum, or not?
And without the great works from all the other great Modders, that GWX used, no one will talks: GWX is the best of supermods.
Last words, this ForumName is: SH3 Mods Workshop and not SH3 Mods Workshop for GWX only.
You have right - of course. All supermods are ...super
Nautilus - i just kidding:rotfl:

GWX RULEZ

Default Crash!

Unfortunately your mod makes SH3 crash after it finishes loading at startup. When the progress bar fills up, the screen goes black an eventually a windows crash dialog appears. I never saw the main menu of SH3. Is there any crash log that Sh3 generates?

I only have the following mods enabled in JGSM:

GWX 16km Atmosphere
GWX Captain America Officers
GWX English Navmap and Grid refs
GWX movie Das Boot
GWX no medals on crew
GWX Reduced positive bouyancy
custom file with lighter sub-blueprint in crew logistics (/data/menu/data/backpap2.tga)
Your redmask mod for OLCmod

I don't see how that could cause it though. Are you sure that menu file works correctly? Have you tested it? All I did was extract to the JGSM mod folder and enable before running sh3.

I must admit this is completely puzzling,is anyone else having this problem?
I'm pretty sure the menu file runs ok.The thing is because this mod is all about positioning a tga file onscreen,I must have had to load and then exit SH3 at least a hundred times when testing,it's just plain weird.I will investigate further.

Just play tested with nothing else other than SH3 and GWX running and found no probs at all.My usual mod setup on top of this is....

GWX late war sensors
Fubars crew skins
Longer wakes
Torpedo damage
Authentic officer faces
GWX officer icons
Internal U-Boat sound effect
Improved gun and explosion sounds
Lighthouse V2
Sub image mod
Racerboys SH4 effects for SH3

and she seems to work ok for me with or without these enabled, sorry I can't be more help without knowing whether others are also experiencing CTDseems very strange though.

Hmm, flabbergasted! I wish SH3 could say why it crashed. This is like groping in the deep dark.

IIRC OLC wrote something in his thread about a limit to the size of textures an such that could cause a crash. Which he found a way to work around. Maybe your mod also trips over this issue on my specific system. I suggest you talk about this with him and see if it matters in this. But in that thread he also noticed my screenshot looked a bit blurry so I'll need to investigate my card settings anyway. (however, let's compare system specs: P4 2.6 Ghz HT, 768 MB DDR2 Ram, Ati radeon 9550 128 MB DDR Driver:Catalyst 7.9; I know vidcard and Ram isn't the best. But SH3 worked flawless sofar. )

The texture comment you mention was a guess at why I was getting CTDs. It was in-game CTDs that I started getting, and it seemed that with each extra texture I added the crashes became more frequent. However, I installed ATITool and it turned out that my card was overheating, running at 125 degrees.

A little TLC on the HSaF took care of that (runs at 75 now - phew!) and now there's no CTDs. This doesn't help you much I know, but I thought I should clarify it anyway.

???? Google mentions HSaF as 'heat stable antibiotic' in some medical page. TLC beats me. I know I started with posting acronyms but....

Anyway, I guess you're right that my problem isn't a temperature issue.
