Default Need advice on Periscope/UZO TDC Mods

I'm looking for a mod that gives the TDC dials/switches on the attack/observation periscopes and UZO screens. There are several out there, and I've looked at some of them, but many links no longer work. What would you recommend for someone who...
  • Uses manual TDC (no more WO for me)
  • Guestimates AOB visually or calculates by hand by plotting course and bearing
  • Calculates speed by hand using a stopwatch and plotting distance traveled
  • Would like to be able to set torpedo speed, depth, and open doors from the same screen
  • Has not installed GWX or any other supermods (not yet anyway)
Basically I would like to be able to manually input all the torpedo settings and target data all on the periscope/UZO screens (similar to what I used to do in SH2) and without using the notepad. It seems that some of the mods are more than I need, but others still require me to go to the TDC screen to finish inputting the solution.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Is this a wind-up? Benefit of the doubt (cos I think I accidentally deleted the note in that thread saying "also available for stock SH3" )

It is available for stock, klh... click in my sig to get it.

OLC's is a good choice. I also have a custom HUD available you can find here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=122221

Racerboy,

Thanks, that just may be what I'm looking for. Do you have any screenshots of what this will look like installed?

OLC,

Yes, I had seen your GUI for stock SH3 (I spent a good bit of time searching before asking my question), and it looks like a fine piece of work. I may try it later, but I wasn't wanting to change my entire GUI at this point, and I'm not looking to try your rangefinder/AOB solver yet. No offense, but all I'm wanting to do is add the TDC dials to my periscope and UZO stations and keep my field of view larger through the scope. Thanks for all your effort on this, and I'll keep it in mind. Cheers.

It is JSGME ready so give it a try. If you don't like it then just deactive it.

Racerboy,

Your HUD works well for what I'm trying to do. Thank you. However, the recognition manual is messed up now. It has no background, (only the text and images show) and it comes up behind the TDC dials. Do you have a mod on your recognition manual to adjust for this?

The recognition manual works fine in mine so it appears something has changed some of the files used for it on your end. To open up the recognition manual I press the associated key on the keyboard for it. You can also make the dials sliding out from the side if you don't want to do this.

Thanks RB. I'll keep working with it.
