Default I knew it had to be Halloween

when this happened

So, I was having some unexpected frame rate problems with my game and was trying to determine the cause. It's almost dawn, windy and foggy. I'm deactivating mods right and left trying to figure out what's causing the problem. I've deactivated everything I can think of that might cause the problem and I hit myself in the forehead and say (in my best Homer Simpson accent) Doh! I go into graphics settings and notice that I have volumetric fog turned on. Well, I never had a major problem with it on before, but what the heck, I turn it off and go back to the bridge. Viola, frame rate problem solved. So i go back below and WTF?

Now I'm thinking I've totally screwed my game and am gonna have to do a reinstall when I decide to try an old "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" trick. I fast forward to dawn and sure enough, the faces come back.

I sure hope this doesn't happen again, or I'll never be able to face Halloween again

Yeah, it looks like something out of one of the horror flicks that my son loves so much.

As far as I can tell, it was just a temporary problem. Once the sun came up, they all went back to "normal" except their eyes were rolled back in their heads :rotfl: . Since then, I've reenabled my mods and gone back out on patrol and everything has seemed to be normal so far. I guess I'll have to wait for next Halloween to be sure
