I'm embarassed to ask but what Sub is this?

correct me if im wrong (yes you kapitan) but i belevie that the sub was built at leningrad but was assinged to the black sea fleet (sevastepol). it was only used as a trials sub and i dont think it was armed. so yes Sevastepol/Balacalva was its only homeport. (Balaclava being the "navy" docks/sub bunker across town towards the south)

Yes it was only based at sevstopol built not only to test new equipment but also doubled up as a training vessel.

The hull seems almost Sub like. The small white thing fwd of the structure I've seen on subs that are on display. Here is another pic where you can see the roundness of the hull much like on a sub http://www.alrosa.net/photos/_1995_03.htm maybe they took and old sub and made it an sccomadation ship... :hmm:
