My U-boat goes into crash-dive - please advise

Genedige Karleuns,

I have had had a couple of instances now where I have saved my patrol at an appropriate point. The next time I have gone in and tried to load where I left off, the boat instantly goes into a crash dive

. The boat dives down to 500m+ in about 5 seconds (faster than a free fall parachutist). I have tried to surface etc but the boat does not move. The only way I have found around this is to go to a previous save resulting in a loss of hours of patrolling the high seas. Do any of you know what is causing this fault? I am finding this particularly frustrating in that there seems to be no way round it and I keep losing valuable patrols
