okay i've been having a closer look on the files that describe a unit in SH3 using the Mini Tweaker and S3D. for some weird reason, even when adjusting the .zon, .sim, etc files so that it matches the destructibility criteria (i used an airplane as "manual" because their much easier modeled than ships) the land units still are indestructible. it nearly seems as if there is some hardcode that says, stuff from the "land" folder cannot be destroyed. i dunno, maybe i just forgot some critical aspect or something. i dont have much clue about SH3's file handling yet.
it's a pity, because the problem seemed so easy at the first view. is anyone else still working on this matter? i dont really know where to start to screw now? i dont believe that im the only one messing around with this stuff... it would be such a great thing if we could land targets destructible some way

Moin,
I haven´t checked whether it´s possible or not. But I think tater is on the right track. Attaching a *.zon to the unit to define collisionable objects might do. At least I´m certain it can be done. Regards, DD

The zon files point at Zones.cfg (at least in SH4), right? Perhaps the problem is that the parts need to be copied from other destructable stuff. Don;t want to go to the trouble to make a zon, and have it point at stuff set to "-1" in a cfg file
