With the war crimes comment.
Sickening Dornitz (sp?) was sent down for 11 years. Thats totally bang out of order... That American Air Force Captain but a bomb into a lifeboat bn towed by a U Boat... Its sickening to know they were sent down. The SS sure, attacks on civilians is a war crime. But history is written by the victors...it jsut dumb sucks that they wanted revenge at the courts, becuase they couldnt get it as sea..... As for a hospital ship. I wouldnt open up. Mainly b/c it may have Kameraden onboard. Annoyed me so much reading about the attack on the U-Boats carrying the red crosses and helping all those survivors.

You can set merchant ships' cargoes to Freight, Ammo, and Fuel in the mission editor, and I doubt that any mod maker would set the Hospital Ship to carry anything other than "Freight" (a catch-all term for non-volatile cargoes). The explosion was probably either the ship's own fuel supply or a boiler explosion. Boiler explosions were sometimes violent enough to break a ship in half, and a submarine crew might mistakenly think it was ammunition exploding. Sometimes when I hit a ship carrying Freight the explosion is just as violent as the one for a vessel carrying Ammo or Fuel.
