LOL, you better get busy. This is shaping up.

Here you go, 2048 Texture files, just drop them in with the obj files.

Alright, I think it's go time

Basically, what I had in mind:

--Opening shot---

1943, Somewhere in the Atlantic. Camera sweeps over the water. All is calm.

Cut to a shot of a periscope coming out of the water. Cut to a clip from Das Boot with the skipper looking through the periscope.

Shot of the pov of the periscope. It swings around until it spots something on the horizon.

Shot of a C2 freighter as it chugs merrily along, blissfully unaware of it's impending doom.

Cut to the crew preparing for a shot, Das boot again. Shot of the torpedo doors opening. they fire off a torpedo (LOS!) Shot of the torp tearing out of the tube.

Shot of the skipper holding a stop watch. Shot of the torp screaming towards the C2. Shot of the C2, nothing all is quiet...then...BOOM! Geyser of water, BOOM boilers go up, smoke everywhere.

Shot of the periscopes POV, as the C2 goes down.

Cut to a shot underwater as the C2 goes plowing to the bottom of the ocean. Flash up the title SH3: GWX

---Possible alternate/extended version in this version the title doesn't come up yet.---

Cut to the periscopes POV. It does another sweep and spots something coming at them...fast...

Shot of a DD bearing straight for the Uboat.

ALARM!!! Crew rush through the boat to the front. Shot of the props spinning faster and faster, as they dive.

The DD barrels over them and unleashes it's Depthcharges. Cut of the crew looking up around, quiet as death (Das boot...again...)

Shot of the Uboat with DCs dropping around them. One enters the top of the frame and looks like it'll land right on top of it...

Black out.

Title comes up.

End.

One more image before I head off from for home and then I go into full production mode.

People are probably thinking...Can I make good enough water?

Think that'll be good enough quality for the intro?

I'll answer what everyone is thinking...no that's not good enough water.

Cause A: I can do way better and B: that was on the crappy work computer.

I'm working on the first scene right now, just the camera sweep. Should be done rendering in a couple hours, then just keep working at it

HA!!! WOO!!! SH3 runs the movies in WMV format. Meaning I can make it in movie maker!

I didn't know how long the intro should be...but I listened to a couple SH3 themes and I got hooked on one that sounds like it meets all the requirements that I was looking for. Crack open the sound/music/Tension_2_Mix.ogg and give that a listen to.

That will be the musictrack for the intro. Fits perfectly.

Doesn't matter what it is, aslong as it gets sent to the bottom

And is in .OBJ format...C4D seems to be fairly fond of them...

I'd say definitely the alternate version of the script!

How about some increasing pings to go with the ending scenes? Perhaps one last loud ping just before the 'final' charge seems to land on the sub? Or after... just after the title fades...

A metal creak perhaps? :hmm:

Just brainstorming... it sure would translate the feel of GWX. You never know when you might live or die!

Great stuff.
