Bow Shot

I wasn't able to find a particular thread that dealt with this issue.

I have always used G7a torpedoes.

When I have a destroyer coming at me, I wait until it is head on and I let go my G7a fast for a bow shot and I always sink it. I set the G7a to magnetic and .5m beneath keel depth of the destroyer.

Now, since the G7e has only 1 speed (30 kts) whereas in a fast shot with a G7a runs at 44 kts, is the G7e capable of doing a bow shot like I have been doing with the G7a?
