They're both good movies i liked Letters from Iwo Jima better. Ones the allies story and the other is the Japanese story. Best to get both.

Letters form Iwo Jima as incrdible, and I'm very picky about my war movies. It was poignant and intense and violent and disturbing and moving and all without being a cliche. Clint really has arrived as a brilliant director.

Havent seen the Flags, but saw the Letters, which is from the Japanese POV. Very good movie, I must say.
