Default Strange encounter..

I was on the way back from Tanker Alley, and just e couple of hundred kilometers below the channel suddenly, in fog and bad weather, a ship sighting..

We slowed down, and I personally took a look. It was an armed tug who was sitting
around with 0 knots..

Strange, but nevertheless a great opportunity to use the last torpedo's I had left.

Sehrorhtiefe, and while creaping forward, we fired an electric. While the torpedo was on its merry way, I started to see the flag, and to my suprise it was a Fin! yes a Finnish armed tug.. what the bleep did it do here?

Bang! she's going down. Contact!, what? yes another armed tug, same nationality directly came to me from out the fog. Crash dive.. she did a few runs above us, but never pinged, nor dropped anything, and went away eventually.

We surfaced, and contiued the route.

After that there was no marking on the map of a sunken ship. Very strange.

So what did they do here? and why were the on full stop?

They were obviously lost and had stopped to wait for a passer-by to get directions home from.
