The dead sailor was only malingering. He refused to go as we tried to bury him at sea. He was only wounded and got a medal for it. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I wonder if any uboat crew buried their dead using the James Bond trick through the torpedo hatch

Anyone seen the film U-571??
The shot a dead body out of the bow tube, and it floated to the surface, pursueing DD thought they were dead.
Maybe thats what you can do......

I agree on the need for a strong repair crew, last patroll i returned to port with the port diesel and both electrics destroyed, bow torpedoes gone, lost most of my diesel due to leaking, AA and deck gun gone. In other words encountered my first black swan of the war and managed to survive. Hull integrity was arround 20%, this is probably the only time ill ever be glad i was in sort of shallow waters when the attack took place, otherways i would have been crushed due to sinking because of flooding.

Yep they fired out a lot of crap and a dead sailor is useful as a decoy, may fool a new destroyer captain but not a veteran.

It doesn't help in game though. You can't "fool" the AI. You just have to stay quiet until they give up.
