In the meanwhile, check out what the MODS have cooked for this game.
Post something, you will not belive what kind of avatars you may get.
A good place to start is in General forums.

Im Back again, ive ordrered my new rig, made a slight upgrade aswell
Ill now be running:

AMD ATHLON™ 64 X2 5600+ (2.8GHz) 2 x 1MB L2 Cache (Socket AM2)
4096 MB CORSAIR DDR2 800MHz
XP Home
320Gb Hard Drive
512MB GEFORCE 8600GT PCI Express + DVI + TV-OUT
Sound Blaster® Audigy® SE with 7.1 Surround Sound

Well i hope that enables me to play the game full throttle
Only downside is i have to wait another 2 weeks for it to be done oh well, worth the wait

Hmmm,I don't do anything with the affinity command,and my puter runs SH IV pretty well.First time I have heard of that trick.I started using the shut down Explorer dealey,and I like that very much.I will try the affinity thing next mission I go on.

i never knew this... ive been using my athlon 4200 x2 normally and with my 7900gt and a gig of ram ive got everything maxed out and it runs nice (will stutter now and then but thats all)

also i installed the amd dual core optimizer... with this fix you talking about from microsoft conflict with it?
