[REL] Sub speed Mod

This is a small MOD that adjusts what speeds you do VS the Telegraph settings there is a good read me with it I hope you all enjoy!

Okay what this Mod does is adjust the speeds your Sub will do
verses the Telemeter setting.
For example if you have a 21knt top speed sub
this is what will happen:

Surface Underwater
All stop 0.00 0.00
Ahead 1/3 4.2knts 1.8knts
Ahead 2/3 8.4knts 3.6knts
Ahead Standard 12.6knts 5.4knts
Ahead Full 16.8knts 7.2knts
Ahead flank 21.0knts 9.0knts
And when you hit silent running you will
be at 1.8knts which is perfect for being quiet.
And also running at Ahead Standard should give
you the best fuel economy VS speed with the
way the game is set up.

If you have a 19knt top speed Sub

Surface Underwater
All stop 0.00 0.00
Ahead 1/3 3.8knts 1.6knts
Ahead 2/3 7.6knts 3.2knts
Ahead Standard 11.4knts 4.8knts
Ahead Full 15.2knts 6.4knts
Ahead flank 19.0knts 8.0knts
And when you hit silent running you will
be at 1.6knts which is perfect for being quiet.
And also running at Ahead Standard should give
you the best fuel economy VS speed with the
way the game is set up.

Hope you like this and it helps someone out
in playing their own game.ENJOY!

This is actually more of a telegraph mod than a speed mod, but nice nonetheless. I see you use .2 .4 .6 .8 1.0 for throttle settings on all fleet subs. Was there a reason you did not include the S class boats ?

FYI and consideration,

1. .12 - .15 depending on sub, target speed 1-1.5 kt submerged
2. .33 - One third, good for patroling, lower fuel consumption per hour
3. .45 - Standard throttle, this percentage (.45) is MAX fuel efficiency
4. .90 - Double time, Military. Shake it don't break it.
5. 1.0 - MAX - Redline, Afterburner, Speed Imperative, Survival Override.

What you ordinarily want from engine room: Quiet, Time, Range, or Speed. (telegraph settings) Anything else is situational override. (dial clicking)

I have used these with good results for many months.
Yeah, its not what a purist would do, but its how I run my boats.

Default I ajusted all the subs in the game

I just didn't list the S-Boat speeds just the most common ones I felt the power curves sucked the way they were set up. For example when a plane spots me and comes in for an attack I found that when I go to ahead flank from ahead standard then make a 90deg turn it screws up there bombing run and end up way off because they seem to go by what they found when they first spoted you on the attack run at least now there is a huge speed difference going from 12knts to a high end 20knts and yes of course I advise using your KNT meter for fine tuning running or hiding from Destroyers underwater but at least now your not running a high 3knts when you set silent running and I always felt ahead 1/3 was too fast when you were trying to sneak in some where on the quiet side and without having to always set your speed on the knt meter this was a good alternative for quick action.

Yeah the Sboats are a bit odd. I was just curious.

The .2 for silent running will give pretty good gameplay - my settings are probably too slow for most sensors to be honest.
