I believe that the company's honor is at stake. If they choose not to patch, that's a choice they can make. Choices have consequences. All I ask is that, should they choose not to patch, they release the SDK for the community to work on. I played stock SH3. I got away from it for a while, and when I got back there was something called GWX 1.03. It was like a new game. I have complete faith in this community and the talent that's here.

To the modders

At 300 Sig.posts,thats at $50'00 a head,$15,000 in sales they stand to lose,if UBI
Expects to sell any other game. Perhaps it's only a drop in the bucket to them, but the damage to there reputation =s unemployment. Good figuring Onkel

Neal echoes the complaints we've been hearing from our comrades who return to the Atlantic discontented with SH IV. Personally, I'm not buying until I hear the bugs been fixed.

Ubi really has a masterpiece with Silent Hunter if things work right! But is losing good will if the needed patch is delayed.

The thing that is the most frustrating to me is the potential that this sim has. If the vision would be followed through all the way to completion, it would be a thing of greatness. I believe this is what upsets most people.

Default 1.3

Twice as many bugs with half as many fixes as SH3? Not good for the reputation of a company. Please finish the "simulation".

Totally agreed. There are still way too many issues with Silent Hunter 4 for its development life to be stopped now. The issues Neal brought up in the original post are at the heart of what is still functionally wrong with the game.

Signed!

It was with the greatest enthusiasm that I purchased and installed SH4 and I anxiously looked forward to the 1.2 patch (1.1 was out when I purchased). It's unfortunate that the 1.2 patch did not address all the issues that remained but I understand the necessity to get something out quickly to address a lot of the issues which were not resolved with 1.1. One or two patches should finish the job.

Well, since I refuse to purchase it until ubi "fix" the thing I guess I'll just vote with my

coinage.

Darned shame as I bought SH3 on release based on Onkel's review and haven't

REALLY had a serious issue since 1.3 other than niggles. (Esp. w/ the work of ALL you Mod Guys!!!!
