This ain't a joke. But did you make sure to reload your torps in port? In the campaign, you have to do that. If you're trying to fire from a single mission, disregard.

What key/button press are you using?
with 1.2, I believe clicking the onscreen torpedo fire button no longer works. (I always press ENTER) If you are using the Keyboard Function Mod, torpedo firing is changed to CTRL+ENTER |

The onscreen torpedo fire button works just perfect on SH4 patched to v1.2
