Does anyone have any tips for crew management while on a patrol using GWX? I am in A VIIB andI am having trouble keeping the crew rested (particularly the torpedomen). I dont really want to get rid of the fatigue system all together though.
I am trying to create some sort of shift system or something to better organize this so Im no constantly looking through each man at his fatigue levels. Thanks.

I make sure that I don't have more crew than berts available when submerged. That way people get rested when not on duty.
Hope this helps ![]()

Keep 'em out of the torpedo rooms whenever possible. The torpedo rooms are stress factorys.

I've come up with a decent crew shift so far, but it requires cycling out the Command Room and sonar/radio rooms with quaters.
Heres a diagram. http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3...wshiftsyr5.jpg Not super efficent, but when I get a few more qualifications it will be.

Looks like you've got it set up pretty well. What I find is your first few patrols you're like "This will never work!" and then a couple years in you're like "This is too easy. I have a Uber Crew!"
For the first time I'm using the SH3 Commander random crew transfer, it's pretty cool. And I hope will keep my crew from getting so good I never have to think about them again. |

I know how to solve this "little" problem
This is what you have to do. Order every member of the crew(yes all of them) up on deck when they are there, you ask them, if some of them is very tired and need a few hours extra sleep. Now you may see some crewmember raise their hands. Call thise to you. When they are standing infront of you, you pick up your Lugar and shoot them. Thereafter you ask the crew, the same question again and this time no one is tired. (I'm in the irony-mood today) Markus |

Engel: Well, good point.
![]() But the happy times are still to be had even with GWX. On my sixth patrol and I already have two crewmen with the German Cross in Gold with hopes of adding to that list when I get back to port as I have 36,500 tons sunk with 12 torps and plenty of fuel left. ![]() Would have more I imagine if I hadn't have choked my chance at a convoy Battleship last patrol. ![]() |
