Changing Default Settings?

Just recently started playing SH III. At some point, when an enemy ship was spotted, I chose the "dive to periscope depth" action as the default option. I now find that this is not what I want to have happen, and wish to change it. Is there a value in one of the CFG files I can change to eliminate this? Thanks!

welcome to subsim enjoy your stay

please read threads prior to posting

please use the search function for things
you are looking for prior to posting

there are newbie guides and such

check out the stickies at the
top of the forums you visit.

dont be afraid to ask things though most folks here are
very amicable but most questions have already
been asked somewhere before

If using GWX read the manual
prior to posting questions you
likely wont have many questions if you do
but you may answer quite few as a result.

Well, thanks for the help... but being told six different ways in one post that I should not have posted the question in the first place does not, imho, bear much resemblence to "amicable". Yes, I could have whittled away a few hours wandering about the various forums, FAQS, etc. But as I found the original SH III manual to be rather poorly detailed ( and I believe I have room to comment on that, having published dozens of professional technical manuals in my career), I surmised that the chances of stumbling on the information requested by luck was less efficient than simply asking.

Again, I thank you for the assistance. I will endeavour to keep my visits and posts here to an absolute minimum.

Welcome Skua

I'll be the first to admit that the search option can be a bit off-putting when you type in something and it throws back 277 different threads with different titles and especially if you dont really know what you're looking for!

If you dont ask questions you dont get answers as my gran used to say

PS No need to respond to this, please keep future posts at 250 characters or less
