Default Neutral tonnage? What the f?

Has anyone ever come across this scenario.

First patrol in a new boat set sail on 2nd sep 1939. I made my first sinking on Sep 4th off Scapa, a british merchant. I then sank a further 7 ships over the next 11 days to give me a grand total of 37768 BRT. However when i dock back at Willi expecting the grateful thanks of the nation and my pick of the girls my tally comes in at 8 ships sank all neutrals, total tonnage 0!

Now I did sink 2 ships in convoy at night and 1 of them was not the intended target so I could understand 1 neutral but 8? Four of them were finished off with the deck gun and I know the Red Ensign when I see it!

SHCommander is giving me a patrol tonnage of 0 and then when I click on the patrol tonnage sank it proceeds to give me the names and tonnage of all 8 ships

I'm a hero goddammit! Why wont they give me the high praise and accolades I deserve?!!

Not sure what the problem was but when I went back to the game I noticed that even though the tonnage was 0 I was still getting the full renown for the sinkings. I reloaded the save I made last night and exited straight to base and I got full credit (minus the 2 ships I sank this eve of course) for 25000 and a bit tonnes. Strange one. I haven't enabled or disabled ant mods for a week or two and rollback Commander religously after every game just in case:hmm:

I know exactly what happened because it's happened to a few people around here, including me.

When you read across from the number of ships sunk you dropped a line and read Neutral instead of Allied - honestly we've all done it

It's the "first patrol zero tonnage" bug, methinks. I had this too.

Save just before you re-enter port to end the patrol. If afflicted with this bug, reload the save, and you'll get the recognition you deserve.

Had it happen to me on my current career, but one of the seasoned kaleuns sorted me out with this tip.
