Default Lost men

Do you lose renown if you lose men on a patrol?

I've just returned from my 2nd patrol, and although I was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class, two of my men were killed when we were a bit too close to a merchant in a deck gun attack. The explosion damaged the boat a little, but the two men still on the deck tending to the deck gun were killed from the explosion!!!

I wonder if any of the crew will put their deaths down to "captain's error of being too damn close to that exploding ship"

Sorry to hear. I had a similar situation but no losses. Now I keep a reasonable distance from sinking ships.

I don't think you lose renown
