Is there a fix for the bad wakes or whatever it is!

After losing the external camera key F11, I discovered it changed to Alt-F11, who knows! The following is a snapshot of the horrid wakes or bilge water pumped out or what ever they are supposed to be:

The overall graphics in SH4 is poor IMO, SH3 is much better!
Is there a fix to get rid of these lousy effects?
Thanks.

That's water running off the inner hull - it's actually pretty close to accurate. Just needs to be a little more...ummm...'solid' looking? I mean, it is kinda cheesy looking at the moment, but the concept is right.

Bumping this because it IS a good idea to improve the shader, here - anyone working on this?

It is a great little feature but needs some clearing up for sure

Is it possible to import SH3 water textures (and files) to replace those in SH4?

Yours, Mike

I like the effect but as it's already been mentioned it needs "Toning down" more solid water looking and not like a soap sud factory.....Plus at night its kinda luminous and bright....

But still a step in the right direction for realism...

With the exception of the fact that you can sit in calm weather at all stop and the water keeps on coming, and coming.....and....coming

Same thing happens in Sh3. I noticed that last night, when stopping the U-boat on the surface. I'm like "wait, I'm stopped. Yes, definitely, no water is passing the ship. WHY DO I STILL HAVE A WAKE PROJECTING OFF THE BACK OF MY SHIP AND A BOW WAVE!?!?!"

So...yeah, shader definitely needs some work:
- Should be SLIGHTLY less opaque and less 'sudsy'
- Should have more consistency - the very obvious round 'blobs' dropping off rapidly look silly
- The shader definitely needs to have variables passed to it with the ship's speed and sea state for modification of the effect.
