Well done !! Attacking in this weather is a bit more difficult but makes the escape a lot easier... Every time I spot this kind of target it's either too far away and I can't catch up or I'm on the way home and out of torpedoes

thankyou! I know this probably must be small potatoes to most of you, some probably sank half a dozen of them things, but, to me its monumental, its the biggest most impressive sinking I have ever made, and perhaps ever will make!

No small potatoes... Have been playing this sim for quite a while and I saw a couple of these babies but never had a chance to get a good shooting solution.

I was extremely lucky, they were coming towards me, not too far away either, and even then I had to run flank ahead to get positioned, and when I did shoot it was not really a great shot at all. Not only that it brought all the destroyers in the TF over to me because of the noise my props were making. I still have 6 torps left. So fingers crossed I can do some damage with them.

Outstanding! Except for the Graf Zepelin in Kiel, I haven't even seen a carrier. Congratulations. See ya at Steeds Party, which has been rocking for well over a week. Cigars are on me.

Not at all, Penelope, everyone of us have been very happy after our first carrier/battleship sunk !!
To tell you the truth, I've been lucky one and only time : I was at periscope depth, when the sonarman detected 3 battleships at flank speed coming on my way . Luckily, I got them all : the Revenge, the Nelson, and I don't remember what was the third, that was my best tonnage patrol, I sunk something like 300.000 t. But I've been lucky to be at the right place at the right moment, on the way of this convoy....
Most of the time it's about luck.
When I sink a battleship it's at Scapa Flow, most of the time, when I see a stationed one.
