The Gamespot I pre-ordered from just recieved their S.T.A.L.K.E.R shipment in. Since yesterday was the release/shipping day for it too, I'm begining to wonder if it is a distributor issue.

Anybody remember how the old game release days went? Most stores recieved their stock the night before so they were ready to go when they opened the following morning. Anybody remember when that all changed?

I just recieved the automated call from EBGames saying my copy of SH4 will be at the store tomorrow (Thursday). Disappointing, but its only one day delay.

I was in the middle of installing STALKER when I got my phone call from EB Games.

Thursday evening's going to be full of sunken Japanese ships.

I posted a few screenshots of closed beta LOTRO MMO in the "Other Games" section here. I'm sure quite a few people here don't play MMO's but I've been impressed with it. At least you can try it for free for a bit. I just wonder if it's Open Beta which starts on the 30th or if you can get in Closed Beta.

My EB Games story: I go to my local EB to pre-order last week. "What game?":hmm: SH4 says I. "Oh they're finally doing the Pacific eh?" We get into a discussion of sub sims blah blah blah... the guy is knowledgeable... Silent Service, SH3 etc etc

It gets in on Friday, if it arrives tomorrow, I get it tomorrow...

I can hardly wait

My local EB said they quit selling games for the pc. He claimed it was a district managerial decision. Gamespot says tomorrow....maybe.

That's good, at least you got a PC gamer. Most of the EB/Gamespots I've ever gone to had FPshooter & console fiends. When I'd ask for a certain game, they often didn't know what the hell I was talking about.

I started wondering if the only requirement to work there was having played a console FPS.

Same here with my EB Games.

I strode in confidently into my EB games, about 11:15 or so this morning. Walked up to the desk and asked to pick up my pre-order.

Figured something wasnt right when they started going thru boxes and such...

Well, they didnt get it in, neither did Software ETC. None of the other retailers had any as well.

Looks like tomorrow may be the day, but this entire experience has left me jaded.

I'm beginning to think think this is less EB/GS per say and maybe more of an Ubi distribution problem. Hardly any place has it today other than a few exceptions here and there.

Sad to say the EB Games in our area no longer carry PC games, even used ones, at all!

I decided to just let this drop and not go there.
