SOunds good, I will hang onto the career for now, I will head towards the air gap at the AK/AJ boundary and see what happens Just in case it could shed some light on the situation.

Thanks for looking into the problem.

Started the patrol on 17 August 1943 and its 9 September 1943 at this moment. I have been in the AK7X air cover gap for two days and no aircraft, only one iceberg. Up until AK62 I was getting aircraft every one to two hours. Also since the last aircraft spotted call everytime I start the career back up all the glass blows out of the dials, there is the sound of flooding and th message "Forward Deck Damaged" comes up, as soon as the message appears, everything goes back to normal, no damage. I am going to head straight for BE55 and see what happens.

The game reloads previous damage on reload - even if been repaired
The damage isnt there but it reloads it
Go figure

Ok have had a look at your air problem
:hmm:
The mossy has an operational range of 950 on the cfg which should be 850
But it shouldnt show at 1300
The Beaufighter has a range of 900 on the cfg so again it shouldnt have been seen 1300 KM away - in RL the Beaufighter could fly 1,750 miles (2,816 km) with torpedo and long-range tanks
1,400 miles (2,253 km) with torpedo and normal fuel.
The Hudson MK 1 had a range of 1,700 nm (1,960 mi, 3,150 km) but on its cfg its only 875 so again shouldnt show that far out

Most odd

But your post led me to look at something else anyway in that area so was a bonus
lol

Thanks for looking in to the problem you found some good information. THose ranges look ok for an operation patrol for those birds but it doesn't allow much for much of a target search. Well it keeps us on our toes anyway. IT will be interesting to see if it continues on the next partol with this career. I hope it doesn't bleed over into my IXD2 career, that thing dives like a cork!

Thanks again for the explanation.

Update:

Next patrol with a VII/41 this time, normal aircraft activity, a couple still felw into the ocean but they weren't arriving overhead every hour for a week straight.

Evidently a self limiting problem.
