I bought the game for myself at Christmas after checking for the highest game reviews for Sims, plus wanted to have a good game like this to play with my son in law who was visiting for the holidays. We never did get it working over the lan but I really got into it over the next several weeks.

About 3 years ago I also got into the Sim B-17 II since my father was a B-17 pilot. Like someone said above I am a WWII history buff and follow all aspects of it. There was a forum like this that planned missions which were posted Fridays and you had 3-4 days to fly the missions and post your results (no on-line playing capabilities. It wa called Bombs-Away.net.

Several years ago I also watched and episode on the History Channel called "Weapons of War - the Ballistic Missile Submarine". A great story that had many roots from Germany and WWII and talked about the life cycle of the submarine and how it evolved into the most leathal weapon ever devised. Pretty amazing. That's my story.
