If you are unable to get there in time. You can try going to exactly 47.3 km 95 degrees from the NW-corner of QU BE93. At about 2:30 at night, the Repulse will sail straight in front of your foreward tubes and you can take an aft-shot at the Illustrious. With any luck, you can cripple the Illustrious and make the Repulse go down like a sack of VHS-tapes.

Needless to say, the Brits will be less than amused and develop a sudden determination to send you and your 46 cronies to a depthcharge related grave. Wait for them to blow of some steam and circle back to give the (hopefully crippled) Illustrious a mouth full of eel.

i happened to be close in may 1941 in my last career when the british taskforce passed me going west. i went to intercept, lost em and dived for a sonar check, turned out they were now going south. immediately turned after them and ran south at max speed.
spent 2 hours almost exclusively in real time and then it happened:

I saw the muzzle flashes way off on the horizon and used the external cam.
i was some 10 km away when i watched the battle:
at around 9:00 the Bismarck was gunning it out with king george and repulse (?)

amazing to see the big guns go off, bismarck fired at both enemy battleships simultaneously, front turrets on one, rear turrets on the other. bismarck didnt score many hits tho and most enemy salvo's were hits, didnt take more than 10 minutes and she was gone.

i turned a tight circle and torpedoed one battleship when it turned back home, also sank one of the cruisers that followed behind it.

great thing to watch
