Well something could be done on a next Update about that bro, but depending on the season the ocean , nights can be more or less darken...

Example, if you started the normal date in the campaign career, the
starting month is October mate, so it's close to winter, your patrols will
be in North Atlantic Ocean, and Atlantic in general, nights are pretty dark by that time of the year in Atlantic bro, and depending if some other situations, like Moonlight, weather if it's good or bad, thats was made to get really Ocean enviorment....

But you all ways can use your monitor Gama controls to light it up a bit when you play GWX...

One obvious suggestion:

Turn out your lights when playing. It helps a lot.

remember that if you reinstalled SH3 the brightness setting in options will have reset to default.

Letum....what brightness settings?? Are there brightness settings in SH3?? If there are its NO WONDER night is so dark

I could not find any brightness settings either. However, I beleive that the darkness that I am experiencing at night is much more realistic, so I am going to just leave everything the way it is anyway.
