Try switching to 16k atmosphere and see if that helps.

Well something could be done on a next Update about that bro, but depending on the season the ocean , nights can be more or less darken...

Example, if you started the normal date in the campaign career, the
starting month is October mate, so it's close to winter, your patrols will
be in North Atlantic Ocean, and Atlantic in general, nights are pretty dark by that time of the year in Atlantic bro, and depending if some other situations, like Moonlight, weather if it's good or bad, thats was made to get really Ocean enviorment....

But you all ways can use your monitor Gama controls to light it up a bit when you play GWX...

Thanks for the help
Anyway i already use 16K atm... i think that is the mod . I hope in some
nights of full moon :yep:

One obvious suggestion:

Turn out your lights when playing. It helps a lot. :know:

remember that if you reinstalled SH3 the brightness setting in options will have reset to default.

Letum....what brightness settings?? Are there brightness settings in SH3?? If there are its NO WONDER night is so dark :damn:

THE_MASK 12-17-06 05:27 PM

what brightness setting ?

hocking 12-17-06 07:31 PM

I could not find any brightness settings either. However, I beleive that the darkness that I am experiencing at night is much more realistic, so I am going to just leave everything the way it is anyway.

I'm Agree with you:up: I can't use Star Shell too because they are still unavaible on my VIIB ....but maybe it's better....i dont wanna be spotted from a bombardier :nope:

Darkness, leads to nervous Nelly behavior

My firest patrol and as I left the Bunker the blackness enveloped me and crew in the cockpit of the watchtower. The ship leading us out was invisible at 800M.

There is definitely a brightness issue here. Perhaps the more experienced Kapitains can give the rest of us a solution?

I was surprized to see a totally dark UZO with only the range markers illuminated but the cross hair reticles dark....

Back on watch deck, the compass binacle has no illumination and is unreadable, the telegraph is also black and unreadable at night.

The number of aircraft is fine if they were limited in munitions. So many repeated passes that they seem to be flying ammo cans for their MG's. I think this sould be attended to. My boat has limited resouces so my attacker enemies should as well.

Can someone list a few mods that would enhance GWX or as they say is it "in there..."

I have done one patrol and a mission with GWX and I have never had it THAT dark. Actually, during the full moon on clear nights, I can see pretty far. During cloudy nights that are foggy on the other hand.... Maybe your moniter could use some tweaking? I know with mine I have a text mode and a "ultrabrite" mode. Ultrabrite makes things come out a lot more in games. (But does not wash the picture out.)

Faamecanic 12-17-06 09:25 PM

I have found that with my Nvidia card.... if I go into the Controls, color correction...I have a setting for "Digital Vibrance" ... default was OFF.

So I set it to LOW (the lowest I could and get LOW to come on) and that improved night vision in GWX GREATLY.

Gotta love all the crap they throw in graphics card drivers with NO explaination of what it does.....

Yes, tweek your card. I use Nvidia on a Gateway LCD and nights are just fine.
