Plain old notepad
Usual rules apply - always back up your original in case of error - the slightest thing wrong in the rnd and scr will lead to CTD
And only carry this out when in port - never mid patrol
OK I've got my Lit ships showing in the Museum and have had a look at the RND and SCR files, but am unsure how and where I put the new ship names to keep them out of convoys but in Harbours like your Vigo scrnshts. You're examples show how to add them to the RND which from what I can see puts them in convoys only. I'm confused

Ah I've found some of the scripted boats and have changed them to lit. Still not sure of the RND locations though.
Here is the GW.rnd with no lit ships in convoys - hopefully :rotfl:
There are still neutrals in convoys but they are unlit

Back up your current .rnd and put this one in its place
Make sure you are back in port before doing
Much obliged BBW. I'll give it a go and see if I can see the lights!
