Depends on what you want.
Objectively, the Type IX is the better boat. More range and more torpedoes makes it able to stay in the fight longer. But, the type VII does have an advantage for being smaller. It is more nimble underwater and dive faster. So, from a defensive point of view and avoiding escorts it is a better boat. |
