HeyTHEBERBSTER, Xenon.

I removed the SDL file in the sound file.

I removed the command.cfg file in the CFG file... do I remove The Whole CFG file?

Sounds like I need more work here.

@ THEBERBSTER...

I went to the location yo gave me and that is the officer icon picture which is still the eyepatch. I was talking about the actual avatar walking around the boat! the actual crew member is different. I also noticed Emile looks like Joseph now!

I wonder what is this mod changed it?

Ok further testing shows that DBSM does in fact change the crew for whatever purpose.

As soon as I remove the mod, the original crew comes back.

With the mod I get: a young Dobenecher with no eyepactch, and Emile (navigator is a chief copy) the Chief stays the same! So now i have two chiefs!

Strange. I removed the SDL file, and the MENU and CFG files that came with this mod so it works with TWoS.

So now the sound works great, just the crew is different. HMMMM!

Hi bstanko6,
my description above only applies if you want to install DBSM but don't want the additional features of the new keyboard commands and its new features (which in my personal opinion do not fit to this mod). My 'Adjustment' takes them away only keeping the sounds, speech, and crew appearance (and their way to move inside the sub). My adjustment also takes away most compatibility problems with other mods and the modded stockgame.


HOWEVER, if you want *ALL* DBSM features in TWoS, then follow THEBERBSTER's instructions that you can find in his sticky tip collections above.


2 chiefs ?? One is stucked probably which will cause problems, this is caused by not removing the folders I mention. Repeat exactly my procedure above!
This is how your mod should look like:


TWoS_ADJUSTED_Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 Basemod:
Folders:
Data\scripts
Data\Sounds << removed sh.sdl file

TWoS_ADJUSTED_Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 additional crew sounds beta6:
Folders:
Data\scripts
Data\Sounds << removed sh.sdl file


In case of a modded stock game: you remove all 'scripts' folders.

It was the scripts!

As soon as I removed it my crew came back!

Hi bstanko6, work with your change the special commands such as "boarding" or attack sound U-96? It is indeed installed in the cfg. Regards

I have updated my post above that is also in your guide section, due to new improvements in the usage of the adjusted mod. Now, all scripts of Stormy's mod will work perfectly if my install instructions are met.

Thanks for the info.

Your post #1005 is automatically updated so players will always have the latest information.
One big advantage with using Stormy's keyboard is the use of the "Z" key for players using Real Navigation.
The "Z" key gives the contacts bearing from the hydrophone station in the message box each time the key is pressed.

Yes, in fact I'm looking at an install where you can use the complete mod of Stormy's DBSM. I think there is another guide for that, but I will do some tests in TWoS and my stockgame modlist, and if it works I'll update my guide to also include the install with Stormy's new keyboard commands. This may be more difficult because IIRC, I failed in the past and it's why I did an 'adjusted' install.

Hey,
I'm curious if this mod is still working with Sh5 and twos. The download links at the first site don't work for me (both) and do you Need to install the Mighty fine Crew mod and the multiple UIs mod? I heard the mod in bstanko6 Videos and really liked it (i hope this was this mod here lol)
If you can help me pls do so...

I can confirm that following XenonSurf's instructions (removing all folders except for the sounds and removing the sh.sdl files in the basemod and additional crew sounds), I was able to get the sounds working with TWOS version 2.2.24.

However, I tried adding in the navmap babbling using the same procedure and it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe it's not part of the original stock sounds so the game doesn't know to call for that sound file?

Hi. I found a link for stormys 1.3 base but I cant find one for
Stormys_DBSM_SH5_v.13_additional_crew_sounds_beta6 .


Could anyone help out with this. I think there should be one for additional map room sounds but cant find that either. Thanks.
