New Typhoon Kastron MOD

This MOD is a hybrid created from the Typhoon GE, (with which little merit belongs to me) but focused on improving the Typhoon USA, which has included the improvements that the GE presents with respect to the USA, in terms of fixing the angle of periscope shot, deep launch, and other advantages existing in the GE Typhoon but inexistent in the USA version. I think that with these simple modifications I have managed to unite the best features of both models, thus obtaining a really complete and versatile MOD. In my opinion, it is the most complete and fully playable Typhoon in missions, patrols and more of the USA variant. I hope you like it. Regards !!

In the first place I want to apologize for my ignorance about the operation of these forums. I am not used to these things and, of course, my intention is only to contribute something more so that it is for the benefit of all, without causing discomfort or altercations. Having said that, and having understood the advice of a good partner who has explained correctly the steps to follow, I must emphasize that this edition / combination of various features of previous mods, which has resulted in the Kastron Mod, would not have been possible without the creation of the original Mods made by the companion JHAPPRICH. So whats the diffrences between Typhoon GE And Typhoon Kastron?

As I have already mentioned, in the Typhoon GE there are very good characteristics that are not present in the Typhoon USA (nor in the Typhoon Standalone MOD) such as the disposition of weapons, the launching at greater depth (over 100 meters) or the Maximum angle of fixation of objectives in the periscope (no more than 10 degrees in the USA and Standalone mods) very, very necessary and important thing. What I have done is simply to combine the best features of the Typhoon GE with the existing ones of the USA or the Standalone MOD, thus obtaining a very complete hybrid MOD that offers almost the same characteristics in any of the sides (German or USA) in the that you prefer to use it.
Thyphoon Kastron is not a new created MOD. It's only an hibrid MOD from the previous exists.

A person could do a "Search" in the Downloads section on his username, or ETR3(SS)'s since there are several SSBN mods from each of them, all good stuff. Just pay attention to proper mod activation and read the documentation for each.

Now, as to the crashing when viewing the external, one thing you could try is Large Address Aware, aka: 4 gig patch. CapnScurvy has a thread "Windows10; Large Address Aware; SH4 Install", where he discusses in detail its use in the context of installing Windows 10 and Silent Hunter 4. If you have any version of windows from Vista onward, LAA will help by allowing the OS to "see" that SH4 is written for and able to address more RAM on your computer. Just because you might have 32 gig of RAM, does not mean that SH4 will use it. Without one of those type of apps enable on the SH4.exe file, it will address no more than 2 gig (actually, a little less than). Let us know how you get along.
